An Eclectic Collection of Found Art Forgotten By Time

For years I’ve searched the fringes for odd, abandoned, and forgotten artwork. Items, once prized, now lost and unappreciated. Of the pieces in this exhibit, some have incredible stories behind them. Some, however, offer only hints of their origin and the mystery is left to the imagination of the viewer. Many are just bizarre fun. The art comes from various sources: Artists working in obscurity who have passed on leaving a hidden legacy, found photography, collections which have fallen to the wayside, and unusual objects which have beauty only to certain eyes. Geraldine Buonanno was a retired schoolteacher who passed away at the age of 89. She left behind a beautiful art legacy in these gorgeous unseen assemblage pieces we have at Hyaena. She explores themes of death, decay, and mortality with bones, taxidermy, and found objects. These items can not be shipped.
