The New Alchemy
A Group Art Exhibit

The desire to transform matter appeared with the onset of human consciousness. Early cave paintings were thought to be among first magic spells attempted by man. They were illustrations of what the artist wished to manifest (a successful hunt, a good harvest, victory in war, rain to end drought, etc.). Throughout the centuries, the act of creation has endured within us, and we’ve found that art does indeed have transformative properties. It can open minds, prompt curiosity, incite crowds, and be the catalyst for change. When looking for magic in the world, understand that art is the New Alchemy.
